First look: Lexus 200h CT

* Hybrid Lexus launched the cheapest model in the series
* Is the sale end of 2010 with prices going from an estimated 22,000 pounds
* Practical five-door hatch of the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3 Sportback rivals



Lexus is set to introduce the smallest and cheapest car yet - the CT 200h.

The five-door hatchback to compete with models like the Audi A3 Sportback and BMW 1-series as it goes on sale at the end of 2010 and Lexus expects younger drivers to win the brand.

It is interesting that linked the new model only as a hybrid with a 1.8-liter VVT-i petrol engine with an electric motor. There is the choice of the four drive modes Eco Mode "Normal" and focused on efficiency and comfort while the Sport mode, the focus on performance.

It also has an EV (electric vehicle) that the auto mode only runs on fuel and electric meaning zero CO2 emissions. This can be for a little more than one miles at speeds of up to 28 mph

On the outside of the CT-200H is the familiar face appears on the Lexus IS sedan. The sharply sloping roofline and back-end there is an elegant and distinctive silhouette from Lexus.

Within the usual Lexus buyers receive quality metal surfaces, a nosedive hyphen and soft materials.

The CT-200h will go on sale at the end of 2010 with prices expected to start at around £ 22,000.
